SANTA BARBARA — The congregation of the historic downtown First United Methodist Church invite the community to their annual recreation of the Holy Night, to take place from 5:30pm – 7:30pm December 21st and 22nd.

Under the shelter of a towering Coast Redwood tree and within a rustic stable, costumed volunteers portraying Mary, Joseph and the Baby Jesus are accompanied by the Three Kings, angels and shepherds. Majestic live camels, a beloved feature since the inception of Living Nativity in 1990, have been joined in recent years by a petting zoo of small farm animals.

Guests are also invited to view the church’s 1927 Romanesque Revival sanctuary, decorated with Seasonal finery and an extensive display of creches from around the world. Musicians and vocalists will offer interludes of live music. Warm cider and cookies are served.

The Living Nativity is FREE

Free parking in the church’s lot, enter from Garden Street. For more information, call 805-963-3579, email fumcsb.office@gmail.com, or visit http://www.fumcsb.org or visit www.fumcsb.org or https://www.facebook.com/FirstUMCSantaBarbara
