Dec. 18 — The Kelly Marsh Team at Cornerstone Home Lending in Santa Barbara continue five-year tradition for gifting local foster youth with Christmas gifts

SANTA BARBARA — For local foster youth and their resource families, this Christmas will be one they will never forget: The Kelly Marsh Team at Cornerstone Home Lending in Santa Barbara and the Santa Barbara Trolley Company will be holding a special Christmas trolley ride complete with a visit from Santa and Christmas gifts for the fifth year in a row. The Santa Barbara Trolley Company is also graciously contributing one trolley for the evening.

The 5th Annual Holiday of Lights Trolley Ride is being supported by Our County. Our Kids., a program of the Santa Barbara County Department of Social Services, in conjunction with the Kelly Marsh Team at Cornerstone Home Lending in Santa Barbara and the Santa Barbara Trolley Company.

“Kelly’s family and team have always been very passionate and supportive of children in foster care,” said Gustavo Prado, Our County. Our Kids. Department Specialist at Santa Barbara County Department of Social Services. “Their generosity and selfless giving back to foster youth has always left a lasting impression on foster youth during the Christmas season.”

Branch Manager Kelly Marsh and her husband Mark Meza, along with their sons Marky and Jaylen, have a tradition of shopping on Black Friday for the foster youth participating in the Christmas trolley ride. Tragically, Marky Meza Jr. was one of the victims of the Borderline Bar shooting in Thousand Oaks.

“Marky absolutely loved helping to prepare and take part in this annual event and we know his spirit will be right along with us this year,” said Marky’s father, Mark Meza Sr. “Marky would like us to keep this tradition going strong and so we are.”
