CAMARILLO — CSU Channel Islands (CSUCI), including the Thousand Oaks campus, will be open this week and final exams will take place as scheduled. Students directly impacted by the fires will be accommodated as needed and those students should contact their instructors for options.
However, the Goleta campus will remain closed the week of Dec. 11 due to the fires and poor air quality. Students in the Goleta programs will receive emails from their instructors with specific instructions for final exams.
The Broome Library will remain open 24 hours through Thursday, Dec. 14 at midnight to accommodate students preparing for finals.
A list of frequently asked questions related to the fires are available at https://www.csuci.edu/cialert/updates/december-fires-faqs.htm.
University employees will be expected to report to the Camarillo or Thousand Oaks campuses per their normal work schedule. Goleta staff should remain at home.
The University will continue to monitor conditions and notify the campus of any new developments through their CI Alert emergency notification system, on their emergency hotline at 805-437-3911, or at www.csuci.edu.
