CAMARILLO — The annual CSU Channel Islands (CSUCI) Science Carnival scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 2 has been postponed until 2020 due to the fires and air quality.
“With the safety of our local community, students and volunteers in mind and those impacted by the fires in our area, we will be postponing the Science Carnival for a yet-to-be-determined date in early 2020,” said Science Carnival director and Professor of Chemistry Philip Hampton, Ph.D.
“More information will be available soon. In the meantime, our thoughts and prayers are with those impacted and with the firefighters, first responders and their families. Thank you for your support of this community event.”
The event had been scheduled for Nov. 2 at Rio Vista Middle School in Oxnard. A new date, time and location for the Science Carnival will be available soon.
