County of Ventura District 2 Supervisor Jeff Gorell — Happy Holidays!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Dear Neighbors,

As we wrap up this year, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the community for entrusting me to serve as your representative for District 2. It has been a wonderful year of working together to improve County services, support and attract local businesses, expand hiking trails and environmental initiatives for clean air, enhance public safety efforts, assist with fire response and recovery and celebrate forward progress on the Family Justice Center.

I want to especially thank those I have appointed to serve on special districts, committees and councils. Your tireless work and dedication to the betterment of our County are truly commendable and greatly appreciated.

I am also deeply grateful for the resilience and unity our community showed during the Mountain Fire response. In times of need, we come together to support one another, demonstrating the true strength of our District. At today’s Board meeting I voted to ensure that the rebuilding process is expedited. This process will include fee waiving for certain items. Getting you back home is a top priority!

Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful holiday season and all the best in 2025. From my family to yours, may the new year bring health, happiness, and continued community growth!

Warm regards,

Jeff

Family Justice Center Update

At today’s Board of Supervisors meeting, a recommendation was made to locate the East County Family Justice Center in the City of Thousand Oaks. This marks an important step forward in providing a dedicated space for victims in our area. A heartfelt thank you to the many community members, community-based organizations, the cities of Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley, my colleagues and county agencies for their support throughout this process. Together, we’re creating a stronger, safer community!
