Interim Supportive Housing,

La Posada Welcomes its

First Residents

The 80-unit interim supportive housing community is located at the former County Juvenile Hall Site on Hollister Avenue in Santa Barbara. It will house individuals living in encampments near the 101 freeway and railroad tracks in the immediate area.

Governor Announces Award of $8 Million to Move People Out of Vehicle Encampments and into Housing

Governor Gavin Newsom recently announced that Santa Barbara County – in a joint application with the City of Santa Barbara – has been awarded $7,975,380 to link individuals currently residing in vehicle encampments throughout the County to a housing solution.

The Importance of Trails in Santa Barbara County

The County Parks Division is responsible for managing many of the trails outside of the Los Padres National Forest. These include front country trails, neighborhood trails, beach access trails, and trails within parks and open spaces and private property where public trail easements have been granted.

Santa Barbara County will be joining other counties, and our nation, in lighting up buildings in lime green as one of many events occurring throughout the month of May in honor of May is Mental Health Month.

Auditor-Controller’s Office

The Auditor-Controller is elected by Santa Barbara County voters every 4 years to provide accounting, budgeting, and financial services to the public, county agencies, school districts, special districts, and some cities. The Auditor-Controller’s Office works to ensure the County’s financial integrity.
