The School of Education at CSU Channel Islands will present the 4thAnnual Conference for Social Justice in Education on Saturday, April 28 at the university.
The daylong conference, free and open to the public, is to showcase the social justice oriented work being done in and around schools and educational institutions in Ventura County, to network with others who believe in the power and necessity of such work, and to learn from one another about how best to teach and learn in ways that promote equity, peace, and integrity in public education, the School of Education reported in a media release.
With the theme “Forging Alliances: Creating Change with Heat and Pressure,” the conference will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at CSU’s Malibu Hall and Broome Library.
