Hundreds of friends, La Gente car club members and members of the community gathered on Wednesday, April 4 to pay their respects to Raymond “Porky” Duran, who died unexpectedly.

The funeral mass was held at Santa Clara Church near downtown Oxnard, with the church filled to near capacity. Outside, more than a dozen classic cars belonging to club members, lined the street in front of the church behind the funeral hearse and Duran’s classic blue Hudson.

A number of motorcycles led the procession away from the church, with the classic cars following.

The burial service was held at Santa Clara Cemetery, with a celebration of life held at Casa Lopez in downtown Oxnard.

The following are a few photos from the event. We welcome any photos from the community.
