But federal rollbacks have created a $1.5 million funding gap, threatening programs that keep our air clean, food systems resilient, and communities prepared. And with new proposals to expand offshore drilling along our coastline, it’s clear we must do more than simply fight back — we must strengthen the community-led solutions generations have worked to build.

Receive tax benefits for your year-end donation

If you are 70½ years of age or older, you can transfer up to $100,000 from your IRA to the Community Environmental Council (CEC) as a charitable gift – reducing your taxable income and satisfying your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) for the year.

Known as Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs), these IRA donations are tax-free and provide CEC with the full value of your contribution. They’re a popular choice for many CEC donors. Contact your IRA administrator for the necessary form.
