SANTA BARBARA — The Channel Islands YMCA Association is pleased to welcome Dr. Jeff Schloss as the guest speaker for its 39th Annual Good Friday Breakfast. The breakfast, themed Keeping Hope Alive, will take place Friday, March 25 at the Fess Parker DoubleTree Resort and will focus on the significance of the death of Jesus Christ. The morning will include breakfast, inspirational praise, music and community fellowship.
Jeff Schloss is the Walker Chair of Natural & Behavioral Sciences at Westmont College, where he directs the Center for Faith, Ethics and Life Sciences. He has lectured and held fellowships in programs at Wheaton, Michigan, Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, and Notre Dame. He currently serves as Senior Scholar for the BioLogos Foundation, an international organization exploring harmony between faith and science.
A former surf bum and college dropout, Schloss returned to school after a life-changing experience with Christ, eventually graduating from Wheaton College and doing doctoral work at the University of Michigan and Washington University.

Tickets to the breakfast are $50. Tables for eight partnerships are also available and include: Premier for $2,500; Gold for $1,000; Silver for $750 and Bronze for $400.
