FREE FAMILY DAY

Saturday, February 9
noon- 3 pm

Experience a fun afternoon of art!  Family Day at the Carnegie Art Museum offers creative looking activities in the museum galleries, hands-on art projects: mixed media valentine, line color cutouts, recycled landscape  and much more.  Families with children of all ages and abilities are welcome.  Materials are provided.

SPECIAL GUEST: Watch Contemporary Russian-American artist Nikita Budkov work during a live painting demonstration.  Nikita is a member of the California Art Club Mentor Member Program. Click here to learn more.

In the aftermath of the 2017 Thomas Fire, Luther Gerlach turned his camera on the destruction and regeneration spanning Ventura county, using chemical elements gathered from the landscape to bring the power of these natural forces to life.
