Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley (BGCGCV) Continues to Serve the Community – End of the Year Giving is Needed

AGOURA HILLS — As families continue to juggle workloads, family life and educational challenges for their kids during the pandemic, having the support community is needed more than ever.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley (BGCGCV) has taken a strong leadership role at the onset of the pandemic and continues to provide a safe and academic environment for families who are so in need of this service.  Clubs have been open all day since the beginning of the pandemic with zero cases of COVID transmission.

In addition, the BGCGCV is able to help fill in the learning gaps to ensure children are prepared and achieve academic success now and in the future.

The relationship between the BGCGCV and the Conejo Valley School District and Las Virgenes School District is a strong one, working together on behalf of youth.

Despite the enormous challenges, the BGCGCV is only one of nine Boys & Girls Clubs in California that never closed during the pandemic and one of only 103 out of 4400 clubs nationwide that were able to remain open.  The BGCGCV has kept six of its club sites open extending hours for families, and keeping  its staff intact.

2021 marks 20 years since the founding of BGCGCV.  The organization has many accomplishments to be proud of over the last two decades and projects optimism in the future with exciting plans to carry out through the next 20 years of serving the community.

In this season of giving, the BGCGCV appreciates any support from the community to maintain its services and keep doors open for the most vulnerable in the community.
