Learning Enhancement Acceleration Program
COVID-19 Learning Loss Recovery Initiative
The recent use of remote learning has put our children and our community in a precarious position. At no time in our history has it been more important for us to help young people and their families recover from the challenges and learning losses that have accumulated over the past few years. With your generous support, we were able to keep our doors open during the pandemic, and we were the only out-of-school program able to do that.
We have partnered with Conejo Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) to apply our expertise to bring the educational proficiency levels of children outside of our current membership back up to normal levels. We are calling this new initiative LEAP. Please visit our website and learn more about the need and our goals for this initiative.
Your generous support is needed again to meet this need in our community. The timing on this is crucial. Your support of LEAP will provide us with the resources needed to continue this opportunity into the future. Many of our community’s kids have been affected, and they need us to aid them in learning recovery. Please help our kids take a huge LEAP towards a better future. They are the only next generation we’ve got!
As we come to the end of the year, you may be making plans for your year-end charitable contributions. Required minimum distributions are amounts that U.S. tax law requires one to withdraw annually from traditional IRAs and employer-sponsored retirement plans. If you are 70½ or older, an IRA charitable rollover may allow you to support our youth and receive tax benefits this year.
This year, our founder Cal Johnston will be matching IRA charitable rollover gifts up to $25,000. We hope that you choose to take advantage of his incredible generosity to help support us as we expand our services in 2023.
Your gift to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley allows us to help our kids by LEAPS and bounds as we focus our efforts on educational proficiency with the best-in-class programming from top-notch staff.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Cornejo Valley offers our programs for minimal fees and provides financial aid so that no child is turned away due to inability to pay. Our supporters, like you, make this possible.
