Bilingual report — Ventura’s Summer Activity Guide has arrived!

VENTURA — The Parks & Recreation Summer Activity Guide is available online at www.cityofventura.ca.gov/ActivityGuide. Registration begins Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. and will be available online, over the phone, or in person at City Hall, Room 226, 501 Poli Street. Registration information and policies are on page 7.

The Summer Activity Guide offers affordable summer camps and classes for all ages from June through August. Exciting special events await, including the highly anticipated 4th of July Street Fair and the Music Under the Stars concert series. Community members can also explore aquatic activities such as sailing, kayaking, standup paddleboarding, or swim lessons. There are also various arts and cultural programs, such as tours of museums and historical sites.
Community members are invited to the Summer Kickoff event on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Westpark Community Center, located at 450 W. Harrison Ave., to further explore the Guide. Attendees can meet with staff, engage with programs, and plan out their summer before registration opens.
“The summer is our busiest and most anticipated season,” said Ventura Parks & Recreation Director Stacey Zarazua. “We offer over 35 youth summer camps for families to keep their kids engaged, and there are so many opportunities for all ages to enjoy our outdoor coastal amenities.”
All Ventura residents will receive a printed copy of the Guide in the mail. Additional copies are available for pick-up at City Hall and other City facilities during business hours, including the Westpark Community Center, Barranca Vista Community Center, Ventura Aquatic Center, and Ventura Avenue Adult Center.
The Parks & Recreation Department manages over 800 acres of park and open space, including golf courses, three community centers, three community gardens, and the Ventura Aquatic Center. With over 2,000 annual recreation programs, the City is proud to offer something for everyone to enjoy!
