October is Promotor and Community Health Worker month, Maria-Felix Ryan, executive director of the Promotoras y Promotores Foundation in Oxnard, reported in a media release. The members of the Central Coast Regional Promotor Network and Vision y Compromiso would like to extend an invitation to all Promotores, Community Health Workers and their families to attend the second luncheon being held at the Santa Barbara Office of Education Auditorium from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21.
Last year there were approximately 70 in attendance. We had a great time with the food, entertainment and camaraderie. Reservations are required to attend this FREE event, Ryan said.
