Bilingual report: Inaugural ‘K through 12 Resource Fair’ to be held in Oxnard on Aug. 12

OXNARD — The Office of Jacqui Irwin, in collaboration with the Oxnard Police Activities League and Ventura County Public Health will present the inaugural “K through 12 Resource Fair” from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12 at the Oxnard PAL Gym, 350 S. K St., Oxnard.

The event is designed to assist parents and students make their educational transition successful! All students, their parents/guardians, and professionals are invited to attend.

Featuring representatives from the K-Higher Education, apprenticeship programs, health services, afterschool recreation programs, referral sources, vocational programs, and trade schools.

There will also be a back to school supply give away for children K – 6th grade.

Pre-Registration is not available. Children must be present to receive supplies. Supplies available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

In addition, Las Islas Family Medical Group & Ventura County Public Health Immunization Program has partnered to offer on-site Low Cost or No Cost Tdap Vaccines for children between 11-18 years. For more details call Lupe Ledesma, Public Health Immunization Program at 805-981-5211.

Important Note:

  • Parent or legal guardian must be present for children under 18 years
  • Bring child’s insurance card or Medi-Cal card
  • Bring all immunization records (yellow immunization card)
