EDC SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER IS AWARDED THE LOS ANGELES DISTRICT OFFICE SBDC EXCELLENCE AND INNOVATION AWARD

The Economic Development Collaborative Small Business Development Center(EDC SBDC) has been honored with the Los Angeles District Office SBDC Excellence and Innovation Award. This recognition was presented during National Small Business Week, which also serves as an opportunity to appreciate and express gratitude to resource partners. The EDC SBDC is part of the Los Angeles SBDC network and operates as a dynamic center and is staffed with a team of knowledgeable professionals who provide personalized business advising services to small businesses in Ventura, Santa Barbara and Los Angeles Counties.

Julie Clowes, the Director of the SBA’s Los Angeles District Office, commended Dr. Ray Bowman and his leadership of the center. “This Center, led by Dr. Ray Bowman, is innovative, collaborative and responsive to local needs,” said Clowes. “They are true community partners, especially assisting with disaster recovery, national leaders in international trade and innovation and most importantly, provide an outstanding level of customer service to their clients – focusing on the clients’ needs makes this Center successful. Many thanks to Dr. Bowman and his team for all of their efforts supporting our small business community.”

The center’s exceptional performance in areas such as client outreach and securing capital infusion played a significant role in earning this prestigious accolade. Furthermore, the EDC SBDC remains committed to innovation and has implemented an internal dashboard system to enhance operational efficiency and monitor client performance.
