WORKPLACE ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING
EDC has partnered with EnGen, a virtual learning platform, to deliver career-aligned English upskilling at NO-COST to Ventura County immigrants, refugees and speakers of other languages. Unlike other training programs, workers do not need Social Security Numbers and are only required to make the minimum wage of $15.50 per hour to qualify for training.
Training Benefits
This NO-COST training, made possible through a grant with the Employment Training Panel (ETP), includes:
- 130+ courses and 24/7 access to the mobile-friendly EnGen platform and small group virtual instruction
- Employ-specific institutional needs assessment to align program content with the job responsibilities and literacy goals of learners
- Learner engagement initiatives to ensure learner motivation and participation
- Customized implementation support for all program managers, administrators, stakeholders and learners with ongoing training, support and professional development
Get Started Today!
To get started, EDC will need:
- The number of employees you would like to enroll in the program
- A commitment to a minimum of 8 hours on the EnGen platform per learner
- Assistance in scheduling a one-hour EnGen orientation session for learners
