COVID-19 Testing Update
The County of Ventura is now partnering with COVID Clinic to offer free diagnostic COVID-19 PCR testing for eligible insured and uninsured individuals who live or work in Ventura County. The sites offered by 360 Clinic are in the process of transitioning to COVID Clinic.
Who is eligible for a no cost test through COVID Clinic?
Testing continues to be provided at no cost when medically necessary. Examples of circumstances that require medical testing include but are not limited to:
- Individuals who are displaying symptoms of COVID-19, including fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, fatigue, headache, loss of taste or smell, nausea, or diarrhea
- Individuals who have had recent suspected or confirmed exposure to somebody with COVID-19
- Individuals who have recently tested positive for COVID-19 and are now being retested for clearance of the virus
- Questions during registration online or in-person will verify every patient’s eligibility for free diagnostic testing.
Who is not eligible for a no cost test through COVID Clinic?
Testing for travel, attending events, or other non-medical purposes is not deemed medically necessary and is not eligible for no cost testing. COVID Clinic offers paid options for these circumstances.
How can I get tested for COVID-19 through COVID Clinic?

When are results returned?
Standard PCR diagnostic testing results are returned within 1-2 days.

For employers
According to the CAL/OSHA Emergency Temporary Standards effective June 17, 2021, employers must offer testing at no cost to employees during paid time to:
- Symptomatic unvaccinated employees, regardless of whether there is a known exposure. This is a new requirement.
- Unvaccinated employees after an exposure.
- Vaccinated employees after an exposure if they develop symptoms.
- Unvaccinated employees in an outbreak.
- All employees in a major outbreak.
