FIRE CONTAINMENT INCREASES

Effective Wednesday, July 17, 2024, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office has cancelled additional Evacuation Orders and Warnings while maintaining orders and warnings in areas unsafe for the public.

Evacuation Orders and Warnings CANCELLED for:

Areas south of the fire perimeter

The following areas remain under an EVACUATION ORDER:

Area between the western fire perimeter and the Los Padres National Forest Fire Area Closure
Area east of La Brea Creek and Forest Route 10N06, south of the Los Padres National Forest boundary, and north of the Sisquoc River

The following areas are under an EVACUATION WARNING:

Area east of Kelly Canyon, north of Sisquoc River, west of La Brea Creek and Forest Route 10N06, and south of the Los Padres National Forest

Residents can utilize the Santa Barbara County 2024 LAKE FIRE Incident Map to type in their address to see if their property remains under an evacuation order or evacuation warning area. All residents in evacuation warning areas should remain vigilant.

All roads, trails, and recreational areas within the Los Padres National Forest Fire Area Closure remain closed. Take caution when returning home as emergency personnel continue working in the area. Remain vigilant of changing conditions.

For persons returning home:

If your animals were evacuated and housed with Santa Barbara County Animal Services or at the Santa Maria Elks Rodeo Grounds, please retrieve them as soon as possible.

Once a wildfire has burned through an area, many dangers may remain. Please exercise safety precautions when retunring to your home. Find information about ash cleanup and more, by visiting the ReadySBC Recovery section.
- Printed copies of information for those returning home can be picked up at the Solvang Sheriff Station, located at 1745 Mission Drive, Solvang, CA. 93463. This station is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Closed 12 – 1 p.m.)
If you find damaged utilities, report them to your local utility company.
If you find fire or other emergencies, stay away and call 911.

Community members are strongly encouraged to report damages to their private property and businesses along with farm-related and agricultural damages. The information collected will assist public safety officials in understanding local impacts and advocating for state and federal assistance. Financial assistance is not currently available.

A partir del miércoles 17 de julio de 2024, la Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Santa Bárbara ha cancelado Órdenes y Advertencias de Evacuación adicionales, mientras que mantiene órdenes y advertencias en áreas que son peligrosas para el público.

Órdenes de Evacuación y Advertencias de Evacuación han sido CANCELADAS para:
• Áreas al sur del perímetro del incendio

Las siguientes áreas permanecen bajo ORDEN DE EVACUACIÓN:
• Área entre el perímetro occidental del incendio y el Área de Cierre de Incendios del Bosque Nacional Los Padres
• Área al este del Arroyo La Brea y la Ruta Forestal 10N06, al sur del límite del Bosque Nacional Los Padres y al norte del Río Sisquoc.

La siguiente área permanece bajo ADVERTENCIA DE EVACUACIÓN:
• Área al este de Kelly Canyon, al norte del Río Sisquoc, al oeste del Arroyo La Brea y la Ruta Forestal 10N06, y al sur del Bosque Nacional Los Padres.

Todas las carreteras, senderos y áreas recreativas dentro del Área de Cierre de Incendios del Bosque Nacional Los Padres permanecen cerradas. Tenga cuidado al regresar a su hogar, ya que el personal de emergencia sigue trabajando en la zona. Permanezca alerta a las condiciones que puedan cambiar.
