Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County (BBSVC): BAGS, BLING & BUBBLY 2019 celebrates its biggest success to date!

VENTURA COUNTY — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County (BBSVC), a youth mentoring organization, is thrilled to announce the success of its latest signature fundraiser, Bags, Bling & Bubbly. Celebrating its 11th year, the champagne luncheon raised $189,000 – the event’s most generous total to date. Bags, Bling & Bubbly took place on Wednesday, November 20, at Sherwood Country Club in Westlake Village, and welcomed over 300 guests.

The stylish afternoon featured an amazing array of new, designer, and vintage handbags, jewelry, accessories, and experiences available for purchase or by auction, and celebrated the mentorship story of its celebrity guest, Chef Penny Davidi from the Food Network. It also invited the Big & Little Sisters of the year, Kate and Angela, to share their journey through the mentoring program.

“The funds raised will allow Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County to continue serving youth in our communities, helping them to achieve their full potential through one-to-one mentoring programs,” says agency CEO, Lynne West. “As we go into our 50th anniversary of supporting youth through mentoring here in Ventura County, our need for volunteer recruitment and individualized youth support is more urgent than ever.”
