Milestones at the Drive In
This year, the owners of the Santa Maria Drive-In were looking for a reincarnation of the iconic landmark. That came early in 2022 through the transformation into plans to build 49 new affordable homes, our first self-help home ownership project in the Santa Maria Valley in over thirty years! Build more opportunities for future homeowners!
Twenty Years of Services
This year marked the 20th Anniversary of our services: the Supportive Housing Program and Camino Scholars. For over two decades, our dedicated service teams have responded with compassion, expertise, and a friendly smile to ensure that all residents have the opportunity to be their very best. Continue the legacy with your generous gift!
Let the Games Begin!
At this year’s inaugural Builder Games, local teams gathered to creatively compete in a custom playhouse build. With funds raised for the Supportive Housing Program and Camino Scholars, much fun was had in the sun and must! Charities was named the Builder Games Champion. With the next event scheduled for Saturday, April 22, we look forward to seeing you sponsor, attend or better yet, compete! Get involved with the 2023 Builder Games!
Breaking Ground in Ventura County
The first new rental construction from PSHH in Ventura County, we celebrated the groundbreaking of People’s Place in Santa Paula. This project is providing 68 new units of affordable rental housing to farmworkers and low-income households.  Completion is expected early next year. Bring more people home with your year end gift.
National Recognition
Camino Scholars, the PSHH education program, received recognition as a finalist in the National Summer Learning Association (NSLA) annual awards. Celebrated for its exceptional results, Camino Scholars have also become a member of the NSLA learning cohort where our team is inspiring other programs across the country. Keep students learning with a gift to education!
