BBSVC Golf Classic welcomes back Select Workforce Specialists as Title Sponsor

VENTURA COUNTY — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County (BBSVC) is excited to welcome Select Workforce Specialists (formerly Select Staffing) as the returning Title Sponsor for its annual Golf Classic – the organization’s top-performing event, which will be held Monday, May 7, 2018, at Saticoy Country Club. The tournament delivers the funds necessary to support 1,500 youth who are facing adversity in Ventura County.

“Select Workforce Specialists is excited to be returning as Title Sponsor for the BBSVC Golf Classic,” says Kathy Sottile, Select’s Area Vice President of Northern LA County. “Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County provides a valuable and much-needed service to the children of our community and we are proud to support such a worthy cause.”

Former Los Angeles Rams Quarterback, Vince Ferragamo, is also returning as the event’s celebrated host and keynote speaker.  The day includes golf, dinner, giveaways, entertainment, and auctions, and will feature the much-anticipated Travis Mathew Experience as a special apparel opportunity for its golfers.

The BBSVC Golf Classic raises the much-needed funds to help to change the trajectory of youth facing adversity in Ventura County through long-term mentoring. The growth and professional support of BBSVC’s one-to-one mentoring programs and school site programs throughout the county rely on the generous support of sponsors and local community members. This year’s Golf Classic will bring additional attention to how the BBSVC’s youth mentoring programs are focusing on a trauma-informed model, particularly to benefit program youth in the area who were displaced and affected by the Thomas Fire last year.

Golfers interested in registering to participate in the sixsome format are encouraged to register quickly, as registration is expected to sell out ahead of the tournament date. A complete list of sponsors can be viewed at bbsvc.org/golfAdditional sponsorships are still available.
