Dear Friend,This month we’ve been looking back, and looking ahead, and celebrating all that’s brought us to the milestone of serving our communities for 53 years. Much has changed, and much has been accomplished since three local volunteers came together around a common mission to serve their community, and eventually form our organization to carry it out and magnify. What’s not changed is the need for creating many more affordable housing opportunities, and coming alongside those among us who are struggling to meet basic needs, in support of our community’s most vulnerable.
In response to the growing needs of our communities, we have over 1,000 units we’re working on in our development pipeline, spanning our four-county footprint. More than ever, we need increased partnerships and collaborations with stakeholders like you to rise and meet the heightened levels of need throughout the Central Coast. As you contemplate what you can do for your part of meeting those needs, through your relationship with us, hopefully you’ll be reminded this month of the value of your investment in us, as evidenced by real signs of true progress of homes in construction, services delivered, and lives changed.
Your joining with us will continue to leverage and multiply impacts, through our institutional strength, our highly talented and effective team, our ability to amplify your voice to do more for our communities through our results-focused advocacy. Come celebrate August with us around the many mission accomplishments that you’ve been a critical part of making happen, and many more set to come!

Thank you to all who joined us at last month’s Wall Raising celebration for Summer Holly Lane in Nipomo. The event included remarks from CA State Director of USDA Rural Development Maria Gallegos Herrera (pictured center), retirement commemoration for Phil McClintock, 25+ year PSHH Site Superintendent, as well as the raising of walls for our hardworking owner-builders!
This new construction brings 10 two-story, three-bedroom homes to downtown Nipomo. Through the PSHH home ownership program, participants work together to build their own homes; leveraging time, effort, and sweat-equity into the investment of a lifetime!
