CONSCIOUS CONNECTIONS

In recent years, the world has witnessed a resurgence of interest in psychedelics and their potential to facilitate deep insights, healing, and personal growth. The “Art of the Trip” is an exploration into the intricate nature of psychedelic experiences and their transformative power. Our event will adopt a networking and roundtable conversation format, encouraging an atmosphere of openness, understanding, and exploration. Instead of a traditional lecture-style event, we aim to foster genuine connections and meaningful interactions among participants.

We are honored to host several distinguished contributors with decades of experience in the field of psychedelics. Their expertise ranges from research and therapeutic applications to the profound personal insights gained through these substances. These experts will provide invaluable perspectives and guide our discussions throughout the event.

FEATURING

Suzanne Austin – Former tech executive and medical professional who is a seasoned psychedelic traveler with over 30 years of transformative journeys delving deeply into the realms of consciousness for healing.

Michael Gilbert – Author, former director of the Albert Hofmann Foundation and longtime psychedelic adventurer.

Andy Clark – Speaker, advocate and veteran plant medicine guide with thirteen years experience preparing, navigating and integrating psychedelic experiences, his focuses are trauma integration, addiction recovery and human high-performance.

District216 in the Santa Barbara Independent

Excerpt from Santa Barbara Independent Article: Jacob Tell, District 216’s founder, wanted to figure out how they could get Santa Barbara on the decriminalization train. The club’s been making strides ever since. So far, they’ve collected 500 signatures (and counting) on a petition to decriminalize entheogens in the city.

According to Tell, their next step is to win over city councilmembers, and they’ve already spoken with two out of seven. Councilmembers Mike Jordan and Oscar Gutierrez, Tell said, had positive reactions to their conversations. “The idea is to get four out of seven on board,” he added. “We’re trying to get a yes vote from the council in the next 6-12 months.”
