Aug. 24 — Assemblymember Irwin to host Military & Veteran Job Fair & Expo

What: The Office of Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin, in collaboration with the County of Ventura’s Veteran Services Office and the Veterans Collaborative of Ventura County, will be hosting a Job Fair and Expo for Veterans, active duty military, Guard & Reserve personnel, and their families. This free, family-friendly event will focus on careers and resources in an open, informative and fun environment. Food trucks, service animals, therapy ponies, and the Ventura County Library Book Mobile will be out in front of Condor Hall.

We have over 50 employers attending: Employers are from a variety of fields including: public safety, engineering, machining, health, and others. The Job Fair is open 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. for Military and Veteran applicants. All job seekers, including civilians, are welcome 12 p.m.- 2 p.m.

Information booths: Featuring military & veteran-related service providers including representatives from VA Benefits, VA Healthcare, counseling and education services, CalVet, Military Animal Project’s service dogs, Reins of Hope equine therapy, and a wide range of other programs and services.

Where:  Oxnard College Condor Hall, 4000 S. Rose Avenue, Oxnard, CA 93033.  Parking is free.

When:  10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 24th
