OXNARD — If you ride a bike, you might consider joining a free class to learn all about maintaining it! The California Welcome Center (CWC) in Oxnard is teaming up with REI to offer a free informative class, “Bike Maintenance Basics”, Level 1 on Friday, April 6 at 4:30 p.m. The class will take place at REI located at The Collection at RiverPark, 2700 Seaglass Way.
Attendees will learn important basics on maintaining and tuning up a bike while learning how to lube a chain, how to fix a flat tire in record time and other minor adjustments to get a bicycle in top shape for that next biking adventure.
No experience is necessary for participation and the class will be instruction only with no need to bring a bike to class. Space is limited and sign ups are now underway at the California Welcome Center located at 2786 Seaglass Way. A window display on biking is scheduled to start March 30 at REI and a drawing for biking gear will take place April 27 for those who are interested.
