“Trivia Night at the Museum” fundraiser seeks sponsors and ticket sales to support residents impacted by the Mountain Fire
VENTURA — Ventura County Leadership Academy’s (VCLA) 30th cohort will host Trivia Night at the Museum on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Museum of Ventura County’s Agriculture Museum to support Ventura County residents impacted by the recent Mountain Fire. The event will raise funds for essential needs such as housing, medical care, childcare, financial assistance, and pet care. Sponsorship opportunities are available, and tickets can be purchased at www.vcleadership.org/trivianight.
The Mountain Fire caused significant damage to homes and businesses in the Camarillo area, leaving many households ineligible for federal disaster relief. Funds from VCLA’s Trivia Night at the Museum will go directly to the Ventura County Wildfire Relief & Recovery Fund, administered by the Ventura County Community Foundation, to help fill the gap in recovery assistance for families left without vital resources. Attendees will enjoy cocktails, appetizers, the museum’s newest exhibit entitled “In Focus: Mexican Indigenous Voices of Ventura County,” and trivia focused on Ventura County, all while supporting an important cause.
“Our cohort’s focus is on addressing the urgent needs of our neighbors affected by the Mountain Fire,” said Justin Karbowski, a member of VCLA’s 30th cohort helping lead this initiative. “While these families face the same devastating challenges as those impacted by other wildfires in our region, they nevertheless remain ineligible for federal disaster assistance. Without this critical aid, their recovery depends entirely on local support. Our VCLA cohort hopes to rally the community to bridge this gap and provide direct relief to those in need.”
Businesses and community organizations are invited to join Ocean Air Federal Credit Union and Premier America Credit Union as sponsors of Trivia Night at the Museum. Sponsorships are tax-deductible and directly benefit those impacted by the Mountain Fire. High-level sponsors will have the opportunity to bring a trivia team and engage in a friendly competition, though all sponsors will be contributing to the vital cause of disaster relief.
Tickets for Trivia Night at the Museum are available for purchase for individuals aged 18 and older. Whether attending individually, as part of a team, or representing a past VCLA cohort, this event offers an opportunity to enjoy a night of trivia and community engagement, all while supporting local fire relief efforts.
