OXNARD — The Oxnard Public Library announces the return of their Annual Local Authors Showcase on April 13th, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Downtown Main Branch (251 S. A St., Oxnard).
This year’s event will fill the Main Library’s second floor with authors selling and signing their books. Aspiring authors of all ages can also participate in the Library’s new panel discussions with authors who write within the three major age demographics (Adult, Young Adult, and Children). Engage with published authors and learn about the writing process and how one gets published.
The Friends of the Library will offer refreshments and also staff the gift shop, where copies of all the local authors’ books will be available for purchase. A portion of the proceeds from the book sales will provide future funding for library programs.
The Local Authors Showcase in Oxnard takes place each spring during National Library Week. Authors from all over Ventura County are hosted, offering attendees the opportunity to meet and interact with the authors. The event is designed to promote and foster independent authors from the local community.
