  • The quartet will perform a wide-ranging program of works that foregrounds their inverted approach to the quartet repertoire, translating folk, minimalism, Baroque and new music into their distinctive instrumentation
  • Owls has been dubbed “a dream group” by The New York Times for their original, visceral performances that defy expectations
  • Owls members Paul Wiancko and Ayane Kosaza also belong to the famous Kronos Quartet
  • Cellist Gabriel Cabezas has performed twice recently in Santa Barbara, once with yMusic at the Music Academy of the West in March of 2025, and in May of 2023 with the Los Angeles Philharmonic
  • Violinist Alexi Kenney was a featured soloist in the 2024 Ojai Music Festival
