VENTURA COUNTY — Petco Love, the esteemed national nonprofit organization, has launched an initiative to offer lifesaving grants to local shelters through the Petco Love Stories campaign. This campaign aims to celebrate the profound connections between pet parents and their adopted pets while spotlighting the significance of pet adoption. Petco Love invites heartwarming adoption story submissions through October 31, 2023.
Petco Love encourages pet parents to share their personal narratives of love, joy, and transformation that have blossomed through adopting their beloved companions. Whether they entail stories of resilience, acts of kindness, or moments of compassion, all are welcome. Submissions are open to individuals aged 18 and over, or those with parental consent, and who have adopted an animal from Ventura County Animal Services (VCAS). Stories should be 500 words or less and should include impactful photos of pet parents with their adopted pets.
For a chance to win lifesaving grants for VCAS, click here to submit heartwarming stories and photos. Petco Love encourages stories to emphasize how the adopted pet has transformed the life of the adopter, rather than how you transformed the life of the pet.
VCAS extends its heartfelt gratitude to Petco Love and all those who have embraced pet adoption. Together, we can continue to make a profound impact on the lives of animals and our communities.
Reminder, to participate, your pet must have been adopted from an animal shelter. For questions regarding this campaign, please click here to reach out to Petco Love directly.
