Dear PACC family,

We – The Oxnard PACC nonprofit and The Canyon – are reaching out amidst rising concerns regarding COVID-19/novel coronavirus to assure you that we make the safety, health and wellbeing of all our patrons, visitors and staff our number one priority. We are working closely with the Ventura County Public Health and the City of Oxnard and continue to closely monitor this evolving situation. Advice of government officials, public health authorities and medical professionals will dictate how we operate our venue and manage our events.

What We are Doing
The current recommendation from Governor Newsom is to limit public gatherings to 250 people. We will implement this policy through the end of March 2020 and will work with event organizers to carry out social distancing during on-site events.
We have increased disinfection practices across the campus and have placed additional hand sanitizer stations throughout the venue for your convenience.

Precautionary steps you should be taking right now include:
  • Wash hands frequently (at least five times per day) for at least 20 seconds.
  • Disinfect hands frequently using hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid shaking hands and hugging, even your closest colleagues and friends.
  • If you feel unwell, please stay home!  If you are sick, contact your health care provider in advance of an office visit for further instruction.
  • Wipe frequently touched surfaces like door handles, light switches, desks, keyboards, telephones, tables and counters with disinfectant.
  • Draft and adopt social distancing plans, especially for upcoming face-to-face events.  Consider virtual meeting platforms like Zoom, Google Hangouts and other online platforms.
