Stronger Bones: Your Guide to Preventing and Treating Osteoporosis
SANTA BARBARA — The Cottage Rheumatology Clinic is hosting a free virtual “Meet the Doctor” event on Wednesday, March 11, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., focused on preventing and treating osteoporosis. The presentation will be led by Dr. Courtney Stull, a physician at Cottage Rheumatology Clinic who is board-certified in rheumatology and internal medicine.
Dr. Stull will discuss the importance of bone health and joint preservation as we age, including how osteoporosis develops and steps to reduce risk.
Participants will learn about:
• Risk factors that increase your chances of developing osteoporosis
• Ways to protect bone density
• Current treatments for osteoporosis
• Medications that help strengthen bones
• Recommended screenings and when to receive them
The event will also feature a Q&A session, providing participants the opportunity to have their questions answered directly by Dr. Stull in a confidential setting.
