OXNARD — The West Ventura County Business Alliance (WVCBA), the chamber of commerce advocating for businesses in Camarillo and Oxnard, will host the 28th annual Military Appreciation Dinner on Friday, October 10, at 6:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Oxnard North (600 E Esplanade Dr, Oxnard, CA 93036), formerly the Courtyard by Marriott.
WVCBA’s Military Appreciation Dinner is the business community’s opportunity to celebrate the service and sacrifice of military personnel currently serving in Ventura County. The heartfelt event bestows honors on locally stationed heroes from all branches of the military who are selected by their commanding officers for their service and volunteerism in the community.
“Not only is Naval Base Ventura County a significant contributor to our economy, the incredible servicemen and women stationed there make positive contributions to our vibrant community through volunteer efforts,” said WVCBA President & CEO Andy Conli.
With the theme “Strength in Service: Standing Watch at Home,” this year’s dinner features keynote speaker Colonel Christopher Lutz, Deputy Commander of the 146th Airlift Wing at the Channel Islands Air National Guard Station. He assists in leading the Wing’s 1,084 Airmen, ensuring their effective administration, training, and employment. As the senior Modular Airborne Fire Fighting System leader, Col. Lutz directs strategic planning for all large-scale aerial firefighting missions, playing a vital role in protecting communities and resources.
Advance registration is required and can be made at wvcba.org or by calling the office at (805) 738-9100. Tickets include a three-course dinner with wine and cost $85 per person or $60 per enlisted military personnel.
Sponsorship opportunities are available. The Title Sponsor level is available for $3,500 and includes speaking time at the podium, a table for eight, and a half-page ad in the event program.
The Presenting Sponsor Level is available for $2,000 ($1,500 for WVCBA members) and includes presenting an award to an honoree, six reserved seats at a table, and a quarter-page ad. The Supporting Sponsor level is available for $1,500 ($1,000 for WVCBA members) and includes four reserved seats at a table and a one-eighth-page ad.
