NEWBURY PARK — Financial Advisor Sarah Reznick has earned her financial advisor credentials through many years of professional experience and formal study, and through the “hard knocks” school of life.
A working mother who navigated a career change while raising young children, Reznick understands what it’s like to deal with life’s upheavals, and the challenges many people face when trying to build a strong financial foundation.
Now, after a twelve-year career as a financial advisor at a prestigious Los Angeles-area firm, Reznick has launched her own practice in Newbury Park called Sherfina Advisors. The practice, a subsidiary of U.S. financial services company Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC, offers personalized financial advice and strategies to individuals, families and businesses. Reznick delights in helping her clients identify and make progress toward their goals, building their financial confidence along the way.
“My ideal client is at what I call that “fuzzy moment” in their financial journey,” Reznick said. “They know what they want but are not quite sure how to get there. And they’re open to a collaboration that will help move them toward their goals.”
Reznick’s team includes two branch office administrators and one licensed associate who are also working moms. Their presence and understanding of working families’ concerns helps clients feel cared for, comfortable and understood, Reznick said, and creates a uniquely family feel at the practice.
Working one-on-one, Reznick assists clients in formulating a strategy for retirement that considers all of their assets, savings, investments, Social Security and other potential income sources. Her goal is to help clients grow and preserve their income during their working years and develop a distribution plan for retirement that can help weather market ups and downs.
Reznick holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Irvine. She is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPCTM). Prior to opening Sherfina Advisors, Reznick worked for over a decade as a financial advisor at Edward Jones.
Outside of her financial services practice, Reznick enjoys giving back to her community. She has served as a board member for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County since 2016.
