Team Zaragoza/Live United have teamed up for the 2011 Charity Challenge to raise funds at this year’s Santa to the Sea Half Maraton and 5K Run starting at 8 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 11 in Oxnard.
“We are asking you to please sponsor Team Zaragoza/Live United led by Ventura County Supervisor John Zaragoza and United Way President and CEO David M. Smith as they walk/run the 5K Fun Run on behalf of United Way,” the organization reported in a media release.
The goal is to raise $1,000, with $675 already raised by Wednesday, Dec. 7.
