From delivery to pick-up, to in-store shopping; the Ventura store remodel solidifies Walmart’s commitment to providing customers with a seamless, effortless, high-quality shopping experience.

VENTURA — Walmart customers in Ventura were welcomed inside the newly transformed store at 1739 S Victoria Ave. (on April 7) as the much-anticipated project is complete. The store’s manager and associates marked the occasion with a ribbon cutting ceremony, community celebration, and the unveiling of a community inspired mural. The event was attended by local Ventura organizations, including Ventura Assistance League, Diversity Collective Ventura County, Ventura County Police Department, and Buena Highschool.

During this morning’s celebration, Walmart store manager Amy Wagor highlighted the store’s transformed departments, new interactive features, and newly offered services that are now available to customers, including:

  • A community-inspired mural featured at the front of the store
  • New painting to the outside
  • Updated blue signage
  • Fully renovated electronics of the future department
  • All new interactive displays throughout the store
  • An updated photo department
  • Expanded Online Pickup options to include Grocery items

“As a store manager, I’ve heard directly from our customers about the need for upgraded options at our store,” said Ventura store manager Amy Wagor. “This remodel solidifies our commitment to our customers, and also to our broader community as we continue to be a partner to Ventura and the people who live here.”

To reinforce Walmart’s dedication Ventura and all of the communities it serves, the store manager presented $4,000 in grants to local nonprofit organizations, including:

  • $1,000 to Ventura Assistance League
  • $1,000 to Ventura County Police Department
  • $1,000 to The Local Buena Highschool
  • $1,000 to Diversity Collective Ventura County

The store’s new mural is an eye-catching piece that reflects the diversity and local cultures of Ventura, and is part of Walmart’s Community Mural Program, the largest public-facing art installation that celebrates communities across America. Walmart’s Community Mural Program is an important part of each store transformation and furthers Walmart’s commitment to the local community.

The Ventura Walmart transformation is a part of Walmart’s Signature Experience, which seeks to inspire customers and elevate their in-store experience. Upgrades at the Ventura Walmart store include.

  • Activated corners: Exciting displays are featured at the corners of certain departments to pull customers in and help them touch, feel and become a part of the space, allowing them to discover all that Walmart has to offer.
  • Elevated departments: Transformed stores feature displays showcasing products that are out of their boxes so customers can imagine them fitting into their daily lives.
  • More space to discover: Walmart has purposefully created more space for customers to explore and discover the breadth and depth of what their local store has to offer.
  • Digital touchpoints: These new touchpoints located throughout the store help to communicate to customers the vast range of products and services Walmart offers online through the use of QR codes and digital screens.

?      For example, in Walmart’s Pets area, a customer may scan the QR code to find additional dog bed options, learn about Walmart’s pet insurance service options or have a 20-pound bag of kibble delivered to their door.
