$5 Craft Night: Sand Candles (Ages 12+)

Get summer started off right with an all-new $5 Craft Night for ages 12 and up. Teaching artist Mariann Romero will show you how to create a delicate sand candle and base that will have you ready for a trip to the beach. All skill levels welcome. All materials provided.

Live Figure Drawing (Ages 18+)

Five Thursdays: July 7; July 14; July 21; July 28; and August 4, 2022, from 6 PM to 8 PM

$20 per session or $75 for all five sessions

Experience the time-honored artistic tradition of figure drawing from a live model. Each session will begin with a short, teacher-led tutorial followed by free sketching time with a nude model. All skill levels welcome. Basic materials provided.

Floral Studies in Colored Pencil (Ages 12+)

Wednesday, June 29, and Thursday, June 30, 2022, from 6 PM to 8 PM each evening

$80 for two sessions

Learn to wield colored pencils like you’ve never wielded them before! In this two-part class, you’ll explore different application techniques, and how to add vibrant color and dimension to floral studies. All skill levels welcome. All materials provided.

On View and Online: Kay Zetlmaier’s Geomorphic

Artist Kay Zetlmaier’s gorgeous solo exhibit, Geomorphic: The Living Earth, is on view now through September 11, 2022, at SPAM. The exhibit is also available to enjoy online, including our video interview with the artist inside her Ventura studio.

Kay will demonstrate her abstract and cold wax painting process on Thursday, August 4, from 2 PM to 3 PM. Admission to the painting demonstration is free for everyone.
