Economic Development Collaborative (EDC) — Business Alert- California Venues Grant Program

CALIFORNIA VENUES GRANT PROGRAM
APPLICATION DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 30, 2021 AT 5:00 PM PT
The California Venues Grant Program will support eligible independent live events venues that have been affected by COVID-19 in order to support their continued operation. Eligible independent live events venues must have a physical address and operate in California, which will be validated through submitted business tax returns. If your business tax returns do not reference a California address, you will be deemed ineligible. For more information on how to apply CLICK HERE.

Grant Award:
Grants awarded under this Program shall be in an amount equal to the lesser of two hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) or 20 percent of the applicant’s gross earned revenue in California for the 2019 taxable year.
Important Dates:
Application Opens: October 29, 2021
Application Closes: November 30, 2021

  • Application Certification (PDF)
  • Business Financials (PDF)
  • Government-issued ID (PDF or JPEG)
  • Interim Financial Statements (PDF)
  • Official filing with the California Secretary of State (which must be active) or local municipality, as applicable, for your business (PDF)
  • Most Recent IRS Tax Exemption Letter for Nonprofits only (PDF)
  • NOTE: Must provide a California Secretary of State filing evidencing that the business was legally doing business in the State of California prior to June 1, 2019.
