The Binational Health Week 2011 11th annual Health Conference, “Celebrating Healthy Families,” will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14 at Veteran’s Memorial Community Center, 313 W. Tunnell St., Santa Maria.
The deadline for organizations to register for an exhibitor space or individual registration for the conference is Friday, Sept. 23.
Special guests include Rogelio A. Flores Mejia, Consul of Mexico in Oxnard; Rep. Lois Capps (D-Santa Barbara); Salud Carbajal, Santa Barbara County Supervisor; and Judge Regelio R. Flores, Superior Court for Santa Barbara County.
The keynote speaker will be Gabriel Martinez, lecturer from San Diego State University.
Panel discussions include: Cultural & Traditional Norms, Relationships & Family Intimacy, The Media and You, Parenting, Mental Health Issues and The Law and You.
