SANTA MARIA — A PVHS science standout has received a scholarship that will pay for the majority of her education at Stanford University.

“Attending such a prestigious school like Stanford will allow me the potential to do something great, said Daisy Cisneros, who has a 4.3 GPA. “As electricity travels to most everyday objects, I plan to make those objects better as an electrical engineer.”

“I have had Daisy in the class three times during her career at PVHS,’’ said teacher Riccardo Magni. “While she is an excellent student, it was her performance in the Summer Science Institute that made her standout from her peers. Daisy worked for two summers on her project involving cars and air pollution; this project is exactly what she needed to prepare her for a career as an engineer.”

Cisneros is now the fifth panther to go to Stanford University.
