The PACC is Awarded Another Grant!
| The PACC is one of sixteen new public humanities grantees that will receive funding through the latest round of the Humanities for All Project Grant program. The grant is supporting “CLOSE TO HOME: A year-long community conversation spotlighting the people, places and perspectives surrounding homelessness.” It seeks to engage the community (residents, students, artists, businesses, nonprofits, government) in exploring this layered topic through an open, thoughtful, and humanistic series of activities and events: presentations and discussions, film screenings, an exhibit of photography and artwork created by homeless people, and storytelling. Through these means, the PACC aims to bring those with and without homes together – under its roof – and find common ground. |
| On May 20th, members of SEIU Local 2015 set up a pop-up in front of the Oxnard PACC to handout personal protective equipment to home care providers of Ventura County. The items included face masks and gloves. |
| On May 31st, members of United Farm Workers and Alianza Nacional de Campesinas, with the support of organizations such as Clinicas Del Camino Real, ILWU Credit Union, Julio’s Auto Insurance, fifty150, L & T Catering, UFW Foundation, Radio Indigena, and Mercy Housing, hosted a second food distribution at our parking lot. |
| Vitalant will host a blood drive this Saturday, June 6th between 9:30am – 2 pm in the Ventura Room. To make an appointment, please click here. |
| Together with The Canyon, we’re working hard to beautiful our beloved PACC. Can your business help us with facelifts to our garden or classrooms? Get in touch with us! |

| During the last 12 months, we faced budget cuts, potential closure, and restructuring. COVID-19 is compounding this and taking a significant financial toll. We’re resilient and committed to being your home for arts, culture and community… but we need your help. Show your support and consider making a donation today. |
