THOUSAND OAKS — Join CMATO (California Museum of Art Thousand Oaks) and Create Studio for our next Family Art Day as we make magazine collages inspired by fine art photographer Marjorie Salvaterra, one of seven artists featured in CMATO’s current exhibit.
Kids and families will leaf through magazines to find black and white images and words to cut and collage that help covey feelings that they relate to.
Participants will learn about Marjorie’s works and how her subject’s facial expressions communicate feelings that we can understand, such as a rolled eye, a furrowed brow or a smile.
Participants can draw inspiration from her work to make their own unique creations.
Admission is free and all ages are welcome!
