$20,000 available in grant funding
VENTURA COUNTY — Rebozo Festival, Inc., is pleased to announce that awards of up to $20,000 will be granted to qualified non-profit organizations that focus on the cultural, social and/or educational needs of the Ventura County community. The application process will open September 2ndand will close September 27th, 2019, at 5:00 pm.
Rebozo Festival, Inc., encourages non-profit organizations that meet the following requirements to apply: Nominated organizations must be located in Ventura County serving primarily Ventura County Latino residents and must be an IRS 501©(3) non-profit organization/institution or operate under the fiscal sponsorship of a qualified organization/institution.
The application and additional information are available at http://www.RebozoFestival.org. The 2020 Rebozo Festival, Inc., grantees will be honored at the 16thAnnual Rebozo Festival to be held on Sunday May 17, 2020, at the Camarillo Ranch.
Past recipients include: Many Mansions, Assistance League of Ventura County, The Discovery Center for Science & Technology, Casa De Vida, Future Leaders of America, Inc., United Parents, ANIMO Theatre Co., BattleGround, Inc., Mixteco/Indigena Community Organizing Project (MICOP), the Heart 2 Heart Program, Inlakech Cultural Center, United Farm Workers Freeze Relief Fund, the Oxnard College Foundation Scholarship Program, the Ventura County Chapter of Parents of Murdered Children, Educational and Employment Resources Development/Café on A, Centro Mujer (CAUSE).
The Rebozo Festival is a unique cultural event that promotes the rich heritage of the area by highlighting the colorful Mexican rebozo (shawl) as the theme.
