VENTURA — “Clear The Shelters” is coming to Ventura County Animal Services on Saturday, August 17, 2019 to both the Camarillo and Simi Valley Animal Shelters. It’s the biggest fee-waived pet adoption event in the county. Last year 105 pets were adopted in just a few hours with hundreds in attendance.

All pet adoptions are fee-waived and include spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip implant, flea treatment, 30 days of Pet Insurance, a free first vet exam and lots of amazing give-a-ways. Doors open at 11:00am and close at 6:00pm. Visitors can choose from over 500 companion pets including, dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles, livestock and pocket pets like hamsters and guinea pigs! This event coincides with the Camarillo Air Show so lucky shelter-goers will also get a glimpse of the air show from the Camarillo campus.

People can preview shelter pets online at www.vcas.us/pets or download the Ventura County Animal Services app to their smart phone app at www.ventura.org/mobile-apps-gallery . Those who are interested in the event can also learn more about the event on the Ventura County Animal ServicesFacebook page.

Ventura County Animal Services looks forward to breaking their “Clear The Shelters” adoption goal from 2018 by adopting out 106 pets on Saturday, August 17th, 2019.
