Over 60 artworks, ranging from stunning oil and watercolor paintings to decorative glass, pottery and prints, will be available in both a silent auction format and during a thrilling live auction led by professional auctioneer John Eubanks of California Auctioneers. The silent auction begins at 3:00pm. The live auction immediately follows at 4:00pm. All are welcome. Admission to the event is $15.00 for museum members and $20.00 for non-members. All proceeds will benefit the nonprofit work of the Santa Paula Art Museum.

The Santa Paula Art Museum’s annual art auction is a special opportunity to find beautiful works of art for yourself while supporting the Museum. Silent auction bids start as low as $20.00, and the artists represented in this year’s live auction are distinguished. They have won Academy Awards, served as photographers and correspondents for LIFE Magazine, exhibited at LACMA, the Smithsonian and The Met, and have even been admired by presidents. Contemporary art by local favorites including Virginia Beale, Tony Jankowski, Norman Kirk, George Lockwood, Gina Niebergall, Susan Petty, Gail Pidduck and Hiroko Yoshimoto will be auctioned off alongside historical pieces by early twentieth century California artists like Jessie Arms Botke, Cornelis Botke, Horace Bristol, Millard Sheets, Paul Grimm, William Darling, Douglas Shively and Marion Kavanagh Wachtel.

You can browse the complete, interactive auction catalog online at www.santapaulaartmuseum.org/auction. During the event, three paintings by famous Santa Paula artist Jessie Arms Botke will also be raffled off to three lucky winners. Raffle tickets may be purchased online or at the event. You do not need to be present during the raffle drawing to win. The auction is generously sponsored by Calavo, Rotary Club of Santa Paula, Bank of the Sierra, and Ventura County Community Foundation.
