Gabriela Muñoz, Homeownership Specialist
We are excited to highlight Gaby as our Staff of the Month! Gaby is one of our Homeownership Specialists and has assisted hundreds of clients as they prepare to purchase their homes through our Coaching for Homeownership program. She also got married this month – congratulations Gaby!
To give you a chance to get to know her a little, we asked him a few questions…
Q: What’s one of your favorite parts about working at VCCDC?
A: I love seeing the sparkle in my clients eyes when I tell them that their hard work with their credit, budget and savings has prepared them to meet with a loan officer to get pre-approved for the new home purchase. No matter if it was our initial appointment or after a year or two of working together, seeing their face of excitement is amazing. It is taken another step further once they call me and share the amazing news that they are finally homeowners. The one family that will always stay with me is Mrs. Juana Montelongo. I actually wrote a piece about her journey which you can read
here.
Q: How do you see VCCDC’s mission come to life?
A: I see our mission in every client that comes to see me. Every client I meet with wants to be given the knowledge and information they need to be successful with their financial goals. Whether it is a glance at their budget expenses to find additional savings, a major overhaul with their credit or coming into any one of our classes, I see that every client tries to empower themselves with tools they can use not only for themselves, but that they can pass onto family and friends.
Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: Family is very important to me. I recently married and I try to take advantage of every moment with my husband. We try to stay active and healthy on a daily basis and frequently go on gym dates. My 8 nieces and nephews are always keeping me busy with babysitting duties, movies and frozen yogurt dates. My four siblings and I get together often at my parents’ home for carne asada and catch up. I try to simply disconnect and enjoy every moment outside of work.
Thank you for going above and beyond, Gaby!
