CENTRAL COAST — A new California law requires that companies with five or more employees provide two hours of supervisory training and one hour of staff training every two years on harassment, discrimination, bullying and retaliation. Companies must be in compliance by January 1, 2020. Employment law firm LightGabler has created a new online training video course that meets California harassment and bullying training requirements.
Training is presented by Jonathan Fraser Light, an employment attorney with over 30 years of experience advising employers and hundreds of hours spent training management and staff. The online videos include tracking software to ensure employees have completed the training, a quiz to test for understanding and a certificate of completion for their personnel files. The videos are available at a one-time price for unlimited use by company employees.
“In-person training may not be feasible for all companies,” says Light. “Online training is a viable alternative.”
