Opera Santa Barbara returns to present another crowd-pleasing pop-up performance.

Westmont Chamber Singers
6:30 – 7 pm

The Westmont Chamber Singers, a select ensemble of eleven singers from Westmont College, under the direction of Dr. Grey Brothers, sing a cappella music composed from the late Renaissance through the current. The program includes selections by 16th-century German composer Hans Leo Hassler, early American composer William Billings, and recent compositions by South Coast Composer Craig Phillips, Brazilian composer Daniel R. Afonso, Jr., and eminent American composer Libby Larsen. Seating is limited.

Family 1st Thursday
5:30 – 7:30 pm

Bring the whole family and enjoy 1st Thursday together in SBMA’s Family Resource Center on the Lower Level. Museum Teaching Artists assist families in creating special exhibition-based art projects. Afterwards, enjoy the galleries until 8 pm. In November, print a tempera paint monotype on black paper, then add a sculptural line of bright colored wire to finish, inspired by Nancy Graves’ Double Image (1974).
