VENTURA — The Ventura County Area Agency on Aging’s LIVEWell resource guide earned recognition from the 27th annual National Mature Media Awards, which honors the nation’s best marketing, communications, educational materials, and programs produced for older adults.
LIVEWell was established in 2017 to serve as the premiere resource guide for the more than 175,000 Ventura County residents 60 and over, individuals with disabilities, and their caregivers. A redesign of the former Eldercare guide, LIVEWell provides information through feature stories, resource listings, and news shorts that focus on important topics that range from insurance fraud, to financial wellness, balanced nutrition, caregiver support, legal information, and methods of maintaining an active lifestyle.
LIVEWell was selected for a Merit award for design and content by a distinguished panel of judges from across the United States.
The 2018-19 issue of LIVEWell will be available in October and is fully integrated to include content in both English and Spanish.

The Ventura County Area Agency on Aging, an agency of the County of Ventura, is the principal agency in Ventura County charged with the responsibility to promote the development and implementation of a comprehensive coordinated system of care that enables older individuals, individuals with disabilities, and their caregivers to live in a community-based setting. VENTURA – – La guía de recursos LIVEWell de la Agencia del Área sobre el Envejecimiento del Condado de Ventura (VCAAA por sus siglas en inglés) fue premiado por el 27o anual Natual Mature Media Awards, que rinde homenaje a los mejores programas nacionales de mercadotecnia, comunicaciones, materiales educativos y programas para adultos mayores.
LIVEWell se estableció en 2017 para servir como la guía de recursos de estreno para los más de 175,000 residentes del Condado de Ventura que tienen 60 o más años de edad, personas con discapacidades, y sus cuidadores. Un rediseño de la guía anterior Eldercare, LIVEWell brinda información por media de reportajes, listas de recursos, y noticias cortas que se enfocan en temas que van desde el fraude de seguros al bienestar financiero, nutrición balanceada, apoyo para el cuidador, información legal, y los métodos de mantener un estilo de vida activo y saludable.
LIVEWell fue seleccionado por un premio al mérito por el diseño y contenido por un distinguido panel de jueces de todos los Estados Unidos.
El número de 2018-2019 será disponible en octubre e incluye contenido en inglés y español.
